Dog Park

One night after a day of work Adam and I headed down to Freedom Park for some quality time. We both worked hard that day and just wanted to have some fun time not worrying about anything. Of course, being married and basically complete opposite people, we both have different ideas of what our idea relaxing time looks like.  Adam loves playing disc golf and I love relaxing in a cozy spot with a pen and paper or a book in my hand. We decided to combine our ideal relaxation times and spend time together doing what we love. Why not make a date out of it?!?

We loaded up in Adams truck. He had his disc golf bag and I had my book-bag with my laptop and book. Once we arrived Adam started playing disc golf and walking through the woods with EV. I popped up on the bed of his truck with my book. We spent an hour doing what we love while being together. Well close together!

As the sun was setting we decided to head over to the dog park. This was my first time EVER going to a dog park. Unfortunately, there were no other dogs there. But we had a blast. EV loved running to get her Frisbee. There were different obstacles for us to try to put here through, but she was not having it! We ran around and played for a bit until the sun fully set. Adam grabbed my hand and lead me back to the car then we drove to Five Guys for dinner to end our relaxing date!

Finding hobbies that we can do together and really enjoy was hard at first few months of marriage. But now we know what brings us joy and helps refuel us after a hard day. We strive to make sure we have the time to refuel ourselves while spending time together. Life can be stressful. Adam and I understand that we are too young and have too much life coming our way not to enjoy this season of life to its fullest.

What do you do that brings you joy or refuels you? Please let us know in the comments below!

As always, keep your head up high and your words filled with love.
