Hey friends, I am so happy you found this blog. Whether you know us and want to follow our journey, or you just need encouragement in your marriage, I am so thankful that you have landed here. Let me start with a little introduction. My name is Colleen Howard, formerly Colleen Kavanaugh. I grew up on the beautiful beaches in Glynn County, Georgia known as the Golden Isles. My family is and always will be a “hot mess express” but they have molded me into who I am today, and I am forever grateful for them. After graduating from Brunswick High, I left my home town to give college a try.
After a rough first year and a change of major, I graduated a few years later with a degree from the College of The Arts in Speech Communication. I very much over-committed in college but somehow through the craziness of college I met a guy named Adam Howard! We started officially dating new years eve of 2014. (I can’t wait to tell you how romantically cheesy our first date was!) Things got more serious and love was in the air, Adam proposed a week after my college graduation, on December 15th, 2017. (And oh! The proposal was out of this world.) We got married two months later February 17th, 2018. We are now pursing our dreams together as husband and wife!
I love anything organized, color coded and functional! So much so that my favorite chore of the week is going to the grocery store and packing my own groceries in my collection of reusable bags. I have an extreme type A personality, but Adam has done a great job of helping me learn how to relax and live in the moment. I am currently an independent AFLAC agent and I love it. Yet, my long-term dream is to become an AFLAC State Market Trainer then retire, serve at a church while raising a diverse family and writing devotionals! (I love putting my dreams in writing because God always goes above and beyond with what I dream of.) For fun, I enjoy trying new recipes, reading books in cozy chairs, decluttering and reorganizing anything and everything!
This is me! Got any questions? I would love to hear them. Please comment them in the comment bar below. Once again thank you so much for finding our page and looking into our lives!
Keep your head up and your words filled with love.
